It is always my hope that my work - writing, television, or visual art - is of service somehow to the world; that the time and space I have been gifted can be used to investigate challenging topics others are not able to. And that sometimes I will make you laugh. There should be something here for everyone: if you have a short attention span, check out my visual art, if you have a long attention span, read my writing.
It’s No Longer The Renaissance
If this were the Renaissance, I’d have some rich patron to support my work [other than my parents] and the time I spend thinking, staring out of windows, taking class, practicing, going on long walks, researching, attending therapy, and exploring mental health and impermanence would never be questioned as a “job.” But it’s not the Renaissance, so I have to find other ways to be compensated for creative labor.
It’s Fairly Cheap
Annualized, $2.50/month is just a bit more than the cost of one print from my Etsy store. If you bought one print a year, that’d be pretty cool. Or you can check out all the new artwork and writing I produce more regularly. Don’t ask me how regularly. Art doesn’t work like that. For me at least. For the record: I wanted it to be $2/month, but they won’t let me do less than $30/year.
