Squiggle & Heart No. 32
This one stemmed from a conversation my therapist and I had yesterday about the human physiology not having evolved to handle the amount of informational trauma we receive every day. We are physically not built to sustain the knowledge of suffering across the whole planet on a 24 hour news cycle, and we are causing ourselves severe damage by engaging with it. Let your Squiggle off the treadmill and your Heart off the stationary bike as best you can.
In related news, I learned today I don’t really know how to draw a stationary bike from memory…
It is fitting that the reason I’m a day later than I’d like to be with this week’s Squiggle & Heart is the fight I’m having with technology. If anyone knows how the hell to get the Scan App for Windows 11 to include “Black And White” as an option in color mode, please holler at me immediately. I’m ready to throw both my printer and my computer out the window.
(Which maybe wouldn’t be a bad thing…)
