Meeting Myself
I’ve been rather exhilarated the last few days as I begin the journey to teaching this semester. I’ve been having Zoom meetings with my cohort of students, hearing about their projects and their learning goals, and helping them fill their cups before their work begins in a couple weeks. It’s a remarkable experience to hear myself say things with a level of expertise I didn’t necessarily realize I’ve been collecting for 20 years. My days have been filled with tiny out-of-body experiences as I watch myself use all all of who I am. The interviewer, listener, performer, producer, director, writer, researcher, dharma student, and even visual artist get to show up in this role, all at the same time.
