Kid Prompts: Draw With Me, Episode 2

It’s Kid Prompts: Draw With Me time! This week, as I continue this little experiment, I decided to get a little more intentional with how I group the drawings. The videos in this collection are ones where I either made mistakes, did some erasing, or had something emerge in the drawing process I didn’t initially intend.

I think modeling not only joyful, easeful mistake-making but the value of erasing as an important part of the art making process is a great act of subtle education. For a deeply relatable (to me anyway) cartoon about the importance of erasing check out THIS PIECE by The Oatmeal (not kid friendly).
